The Lucid Gravity inherits the Air's high-power AC charging architecture — top trims accept up to 19.2 kW (80 amps). Lower trims cap at 11.5 kW. For top trims, look at the Grizzl-E Ultimate (80A) — anything less leaves capacity on the table.
How to charge your Lucid Gravity
Pull up close
Charge port is on the driver side. Park so the cable reaches comfortably.
Open the port
Use the dashboard charge button or the Lucid app
Plug it in
Insert the J1772 connector fully — you'll feel a click. Press the release button on top of the handle to remove.
Confirm it's charging
Look for a steady green light on the charger and a charging icon on the dashboard. Most cars take 5–10 seconds to handshake.
Set & forget
Use your charger's app to schedule for off-peak rates (usually 11 PM – 7 AM). Saves $200–$500/yr on most utility plans.

- J1772 — the standard non-Tesla connector. Newer 2025+ Lucid models may ship with NACS. Every charger we list supports both, natively or via adapter.
- How fast does it charge?
- On a 48A charger, the Lucid Gravity adds ~30–40 mph (miles per hour of charging). Top trims with the 19.2 kW onboard charger paired with an 80A unit roughly double that to 60+ mph.
- Do I need an electrician?
- For hardwired 48A+ units, yes. For NEMA 14-50 plug-in chargers (like the Autel 40A Plug-In), no — if the outlet exists.
- Will I need a panel upgrade?
- Not always. The Emporia Pro uses dynamic load balancing to avoid one. Older homes save thousands this way.
